Kelly G. Hamer has been a trial lawyer since 1988, focusing her practice primarily on complex litigation in the areas of professional negligence including medical, veterinary and legal malpractice, personal injury, and wrongful death. She is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Civil Mediator and is Board Certified in Medical Malpractice by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys, recognized by the Florida Bar. She has co-authored a chapter in Florida Medical Malpractice Handbook published by The Florida Bar and recently spoke at the November 2018 National Board of Trial Advocates All-star Conference.
Ms. Hamer has extensive trial experience defending medical malpractice and personal injury cases in multiple venues throughout the State of Florida. She maintains an “AV” rating by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and is a member of the Florida Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys, and the American College of Board Certified Attorneys. Ms. Hamer was recently inducted as a member of the International Society of Barristers. Prior to obtaining her law degree from the University of Florida College of Law in 1988, Ms. Hamer was graduated from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina cum laude with a Bachelors Degree in Health Science.
